Melanie Riemer appointed as EVP Commercial

Jetwise Group is delighted to announce the appointment of Melanie Riemer as its new EVP Commercial, supporting the coordination of commercial aspects of businesses across the Group. In her role she will work closely with Avcon Jet CCO, Michael Makarius, and report directly to Avcon Jet and Jetwise CEO, Alexander Vagacs.

Melanie Riemer coordinates the group’s customer touchpoints with the aim of maximizing our service level and will develop the business around Jet Card and shared aircraft products. This is especially important with regards to the development of new, customer-focused business models. While we aim to maintain our strength in identifying  networks around our aircraft and our excellent collaboration with owner representatives, as well as brokers in the charter sector, Melanie will elevate our connections with owners and end customers to a new levels. This is key to unlocking further growth potential. A crucial prerequisite for this is digital transformation, particularly the implementation of Salesforce. Customer relationships will be systematically supported by the system at the management level.
Melanie joins Avcon with more than two decades in international sales, leadership and operations experience in business aviation having lived in both the Uk and Switzerland for an extended period. Melanie’s experience commenced in the early 2000’s at Jet Alliance, Austria during their long and highly successful sales representation of Textron Aviation in Central & Eastern Europe between 2007 and 2013 followed by heading Hondajet sales in Europe through their exclusive distributor TAG Aviation of the UK & subsequently RAS in Germany and more recently having responsibility for Central European Sales for Flexjet for the super Mid size and ultra long range jet programs. 

Her significant sales experience in the light, medium and heavy business jet market was gained throughout the European, Middle Eastern and African markets. Melanie therefore brings a wealth of experience and relationships in all these markets to Avcon as the Company seeks to expand its sales and operations expertise both within its traditional European market and beyond.
